This invitation was received by the Adjutant for the Post.

We would like to invite you to join us for the official public unveiling of Their Place In History: An Anthology of WWII Autobiographies by Sharon J. Nicholson on Sunday, February 21st, from 2-4 PM at Harbor Tower Village, 100 E. Whidbey Avenue, Oak Harbor.  There will be a presentation of the book by Ms. Nicholson and an opportunity to meet some of the "Heroes" who allowed their true stories to be compiled for future generations.

Sharon J. Nicholson, a long time resident of Whidbey Island, has spent the last few years interviewing numerous Whidbey Island residents about their experiences during World War Two.  In Their Place In History Ms. Nicholson has compiled eyewitness stories of 20 of these individuals, many for the first time in their own words.  What was it like to sink a Japanese destroyer with a single .50 caliber gun?  To be a POW and work in the coalmines of Japan?  What it was to survive not just one, but three different invasions?  Here is your chance to meet with individuals from our local community who have lived to tell these stories.

Harbor Tower Village will be hosting this open house co-sponsored by the PBY Memorial Foundation.  There will be a short presentation at 2:30 pm of those whose autobiographies are included in the book.

R.S.V.P. to Harbor Tower Village via phone (360) 675-2569, or email scotr@villageconcepts.com

Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,
