VFW SERVICE OFFICERS

Gary Cosper, Ben Bunnell

(360) 675-7392

The Service Officers of this Post can help any Veteran file a claim with the Veterans Administration.  In our Post, a Service Officer is available at the Post every Saturday from 10 AM to 12 Noon, on Tuesdays one will be at the County Health Office On Regatta, 9 am to Noon  If the situation warrants, either of the Service Officers will make an appointment for individual consultation.

Remember, you do not have to be a member of this Post to receive help from our Service Officers.  Any Veteran is eligible for assistance.  If you are a Vet or know a Vet that needs assistance with VA issues, please suggest they contact any one of the Veterans organizations with a Service Officer and get the assistance they need.  They will  receive help.

It is always recommended that the Veteran works with a Service Officer when submitting a claim.  The Service Officer usually has the knowledge and experience to make the process go a little smoother.  The process of claim submission is very time consuming.  It can literally take years in some cases.  Be patient!  It is always a good idea to visit the Service Officer when receiving correspondence from the Veterans Administration regarding any claim you have submitted.  They may be able to offer advice on what steps to take next.

In addition, Veteran’s survivors also have certain rights with the VA.  They may also use the services provided by the Service Officer.
