Commander Pete Sill called the meeting to order IAW VFW ritual.

Minutes of December 2009 were read and accepted.
Quartermasters report read and accepted.
Service Officers report: 18 claims, 510 miles, 78 hours for December.

Committee Reports:
Adopt a Road: Next cleanup is January 9th, 9 A.M., meet at the Post.
Membership/Buddy Poppy: 722 Life, 27 new, 6 reinstatements, 133 continuous, 888 total for 91.55% from last year; Poppy distribution program discussed regarding All American status.
Building:
Busy month, with heavy expenses for the pump house and campground heaters. Ice machine required repairs also.
Well house and second well house were insulated for protection. $117 received for the building fund from New Years Eve Party.
Land & Rec:
Water repaired, heaters repaired. Breakers repaired in campground.
House:
$1,000 turned in to Quartermaster, credit card machine being investigated.
Trustees: Quarter ended 31st, audit planned when all statements arrive.
Fundraising: 50/50 is over $300.00. Breakfast went well, only 51 last month. Turned in $85 that month, should be better this month. Poker turned in $408 to Quartermaster.
Surgeon/Hospital:
Good blood drive in December. Next one March 20th
VOD/Youth Essay:
Certificates being finished at this time, checks to be picked up from Quartermaster. Hope to be done by February. Patriot’s Pen entrant Mathew Southland won State of Washington, passed on to National.
Safety:
Dark early and late, use caution. Weather not good.
Chaplain:
Responded to Members death within hours.
VFW Riders:
Committee almost has patch ready, and is finishing the by-laws. General meeting last Sunday of the month.

Winner of the 50/50 Drawing:
Brian Wilson, $15.00. Donated to building fund plus $20 additional.
Unfinished business:
New bid still coming for plumbing.
Sign bid still pending.
Bylaws back from National. Approved.
Jackets purchased, on site for purchase. Sheet posted on Bulletin Board with sizes. Approx. 25 sold so far.
New Business:
District 15 wishes donation for Mid-Winter Conference hospitality room. Wooldridge motion $50, Bunnell seconded. Motion passed.
Need fundraising ideas for building committee. 2x4 project discussed.
Service officers would like the Post to purchase a computer system for the Service Officer only, to provide security for records of clients. Possible donation of computer discussed.
Motion made to move the official meeting place back to the original room. Motion made by Wooldridge, seconded by Clark. Discussion held. Passed with one dissenting vote
Good of the Order:
Midwinter Conference is January 15th & 16th
Letters received from School in Mt. Vernon thanking us for donated flag. Letters from food basket recipients read. 14 baskets actually delivered thanks to $300 donation from Post member.
Awards received by Pete Sill and Skip Johnson for recruiting.
District Commander thanked Post for meeting lunch and services rendered for the District meeting.
Next District meeting, February 14th, in Lynden.
Commander thanked all volunteers for the holiday work.
Closing ceremonies were held at 2000.
