Commander Pete Sill called the meeting to order IAW VFW ritual.

Quartermasters report read and accepted.

Service Officers report: 36 clients, 455 miles, 80 hours..

Member or family members in distress:

Jerome Stanilonis – very ill

Maria Murphy – shoulder surgery soon

Deceased Members: Dale Evans

Committee Reports:

Adopt a Road: 4 turned out last time, next clean up in two weeks.

Membership/Buddy Poppy: 721 Life, 13 new, 2 reinstatements, 102 continuous, 843 total for 86.91% from last year.  Poppies are in, $85.00 in sales.

Building: Floor in second men’s room repaired.

Land & Rec:   Steve Oldemyer is Campground Host.

House:  $2,200 turned over to Post from Canteen.

Trustees:  Audit came out very well, all funds balanced.

Fundraising: 50/50, Poker Tournament and Sunday Breakfast all doing well.  80+ served last month.

Surgeon/Hospital: 31 Pints of blood received in October.

VOD/Youth Essay:   Judging starting soon.

Safety: Winter coming, stay safe, watch the roads, getting dark earlier.

Chaplain:   2 cards sent for deaths, 2 get wells sent

1.  Veterans Day Services at UW Medal of Honor, leave here at 6 AM.

2.  Veterans Day Services at the Elks Lodge 11 November, Dave Hollett in charge.

3.  Dick Whipple Fundraiser, 21 November, 5 PM, $12.00 each.

4.  13 December, District Meeting here.  Also, Department Official visit.

New Business:

1.  Motion made and seconded to close the Bar from 1300 to 1600 for the District Meeting and Official Department Visit.  Passed.

2.  Motion made and seconded to move the Post meetings to the Canteen from now on.   Passed.

3.  Motion made and seconded to move the charter to the same room.  Passed

4.  Motion made and seconded to close the Bar during meetings.  Failed.

Good of the Order:

1.  Internet access is now available at the workstation in the canteen.

2.  Thanksgiving Dinner volunteers needed.  7 Turkeys donated.

3.  Seniors Christmas Dinner is December 16, Noon to 4PM.

4.  Ladies Auction Nov. 7, setup Friday night.

5.  Christmas Dinner Christmas Day, Noon to 4 PM.

6.  Christmas Baskets.

7.  10 November, Oak Harbor Middle School, Veteran’s Presentation.  Need Vets to show up.

8.  9 November, Whidbey Christian School, 1:30 PM, Vets day Honors

Closing ceremonies were held at 2000.
