Commander Pete Sill called the meeting to order IAW VFW ritual.

Motion made and seconded to accept new members.
Initiation of new members:

Minutes of October and November 2009 were read and accepted.
Quartermasters report read and accepted.
Service Officers report: 28 claims, 384 miles, 64 hours for November.
Both Service Officers will attend several training sessions over the next month.

Committee Reports:
Adopt a Road: Cleanup held, 3 showed up. Large amount collected.
Membership/Buddy Poppy: 721 Life, 25 new, 6 reinstatements,
123 continuous, 875 total for 90.21% from last year.
Building:
Estimate for signs out front. Skagit County Signs 4x6 double sided- $544
Darrell Small will get new estimate for 2 signs in accordance with the current setup.
Land & Rec:
Site G in Campground has bad breaker.
House:
No meeting in November. $1100 from the Manager.
Trustees:
Audit correct to the penny. No problems.
Fundraising: 50/50 drawing going well, poker tournament doing well, breakfast served 80+ people last month. $408 turned in from Thanksgiving dinner donations.
Surgeon/Hospital:
Blood drive held Dec. 5, 35 pints collected.
VOD/Youth Essay:
Finishing up the reports.

Won by Stan Gearheart. Donated $17 to the relief fund.

Campground host for summer months.

Canteen Manager has been bonded.
Plumbers bid from Scotties was tabled to receive another bid.
10 Christmas baskets. Baskets have been ordered. Pick up Dec. 23rd. Meet at Saar’s at 10 AM for delivery locations and baskets.
New Business:
Purchasing of leftover jackets. Motion made and seconded to rescind the motion passed in October regarding the purchasing of Post Jackets. Passed.
Motion to purchase 79 jackets @ $20 each, to be sold at $30. Seconded and Passed.
Motion made to sponsor the VFW Motorcycle Club. Discussion held about the proposal and the purpose of the club. This motion will allow the club to proceed as a Post recognized group, and they will report at the Monthly meeting with other committees. Seconded. Passed. The Chairman appointed for the Riders Committee is Steve Nickerson.
Good of the Order:
Adopt-A-Road needs more help, or we will have to drop the program.
Castro & Pam donated triangular shaped shadow box for a flag.
Articles for the newsletter need to be in to the Commander or the Adjutant no later than December 20th.
