LEGISLATIVE

Our goal  is:

To have a government where all Americans are concerned about the needs of veterans, national security, and community involvement.

To keep members abreast of all issues and pending bills, especially those benefiting veterans and their dependents, active-duty military, end those returning home.

To let our legislators know our goals each and every year, whether it is an election year or not.  We must write to them and state our views regarding legislation affecting veterans and encourage them to honor America's promises to veterans.

History:

The Legislative program got its start  in 1928 at which time it was called Legislation.  As the years have gone by, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW has progressed greatly, with letter-writing, personal contacts, e-mails, and with invitations to legislators to attend our functions so that we can share our views with them, and they can tell us their positions of veteran's issues.
