House Committee Meeting 11/28/2007

 

Meeting called to order by the House Committee Chairman at 7:00PM.

Also present were the Post Commander, the Quartermaster, & the Canteen Manager.

The Post Commander appointed Pete Sill & Darrel Small to set in as house committee members so as to have a quorum.

 

Business:

  1. A lengthy discussion was held concerning the “Manager Fill-in” and his days worked.  A motion was made, seconded, and passed to allow the manager to use the “Manager Fill-in” as she desires.
  2. The Janitor problems were discussed.  The Post pays the Janitor and he works for the Canteen Manager.  The Canteen Manager requested that the problems be addressed to her.
  3. The Canteen Manager turned over the Bartenders Responsibilities for approval/disapproval.  She also requested input from the house committee members.  The Canteen Manager tabled this until the next meeting due to the lack of members present The Position Description for the “Manager Fill-in” is still in work.
  4. The profit and loss statement was discussed.  Susan was overpaid by $100.00 ($251.30 vice $151.30) The Manager will have Susan will work it off or return same.
  5. An annual payment was made to “Dish TV” for $786.21, check #8230 on 10/4/07.
  6. The employees pay period has been changed to end at midnight every other Saturday with the Checks to be issued the following Friday.
  7. One “non-member” feels that he should have privileges for the canteen.  He is not eligible to become a member.  The House Committee’s answer is NO (THROW HIM OUT)

 

Canteen Manager’s Report:

1.      Canteen Manager is working on possible changing the hours of the Canteen.

2.      The Manager requested that the Post advance funds for the New Years Eve Party. ($800.00 for the Band).  The Quartermaster will take to the next Post meeting.

3.      The Manager talked about the frequency of the cleaning of the Hood vent in the kitchen.  She will check with the Health Department to see if there is a required time frame for this.

4.      The Manger turned over $1,000.00 to the Quartermaster.
