House Committee Meeting 12/26/2008

 

Meeting called to order by the House Committee Chairman at 7:05 PM.

Also present were the Post Commander, the Quartermaster, & the Canteen Manager.

 

Chairman gave overview of the meeting 

 

Minutes:  Read and accepted

Financial Statement: 

  1. Profit loss under fundraisers was questioned.  Manager will contact bookkeeper for clarification. 
  2. Question regarding pool table income.  Income deposited.  Another question for bookkeeper.
  3. No December parties for income.
  4. Jukebox not making money.  Been this way for several months.  Will attempt to get music changes again.
  5. Lack of billing for garbage explained.
  6. Monitoring – question raised on amount paid versus amount shown.  Book keeper will be contacted. 
  7. NSF Checks – 3 for $180.00 from one party.  $30 per check attached, money is supposed to be enroute.

 

Business:

  1. CINTAS letter mailed.  Return slip not yet received.
  2. Discussion of missing members held.  One works, is unable to attend, one fails to show.  Again.  Two members need to be replaced.
  3. Raise for manger discussed.  Motion made for a $200 per month raise for the manager.  Seconded. 

 

Canteen Manager’s Report:

1.     Painting in the bar area completed. New bartender hired for Saturday and Friday nights. 

2.     $2,500 turned over to Quartermaster.

3.     Motion made to call Gordie’s position “Fill in Manager.”  Passed.

 

Canteen Managers Contract Review

1.     Signing date of the contract discussed.  Manager’s starting date is January 17, 2007.

2.     Review of contract held.  Smooth copy to be prepared and signing will be done.  Pen and ink changes to be made, including the new pay amount.
